Role Description
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for the actions of the team and the overall reputation of the business. They play a pivotal role in our ability to achieve excellent operational execution, uphold a remarkable environment, and maintain balanced profitability. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure proper Chick-fil-A training and standards are taught and maintained resulting in 98% or above in Deloitte evaluations and a 1 in Ecosure evaluations
Lead weekly Team Leader meetings to discuss performance metrics, develop leaders, and communicate relevant business needs and information
Keep store in like-new condition through equipment and facilities maintenance
Ensure a balanced profit approach through intentional focus on labor, food cost, and IPO
Maintain 82% or above in key Customer Experience Monitor (CEM) categories
Partner with the Human Resources department to interview and select top talent
Coach and develop Team Members, Team Leaders, and Person-In-Charge (PIC)
Build talent pipelines within the team, recognizing and developing individuals with leadership potential
Provide fair, objective, and constructive performance feedback
Build team culture and morale
Operational Leadership & Urgency
Shift Strategy: Lead the FOH and BOH teams each shift with a game plan and shift forecasts.
Speed of Service (SOS): Ensure Team Members work at a pace to maintain established SOS guidelines, communicating with urgency to the team.
Production Standards: Ensure strict adherence to recipes, weights, measurements, and food safety standards.
Execution: Oversee food preparation, cooking, assembly, and efficient packaging of raw, hot, and cold food.
Quality Systems: Utilize the Automated Holding Assistant (AHA) and other equipment to maintain food quality and restaurant standards.
Vendor & Facilities: Coordinate and communicate with third-party vendors (cleaning, security, property management); manage the Maintenance Report and resolve all help tickets.
Physicality: Perform physical activities such as lifting (up to 50 lbs.), balancing, bending, and standing for long periods.
HR, Administration & Confidentiality
Talent Management: Manage selection, grading, and the recruiting process to hire top talent. Conduct initial interviews and oversee onboarding/orientation in Ceridian and Humi.
Accountability & Data Integrity: Organize and maintain all Team Member HR Files, including Write Ups and a clinical summary of team member tardiness, absenteeism, and disciplinary actions.
Payroll & Scheduling: Complete weekly schedules to daily/weekly labour goals and manage bi-weekly payroll, including correcting/updating time punches.
Training Stewardship: Plan training courses via CFA Pathway; audit all training shifts and provide training updates regarding Trainee performance.
Compliance Audits: Audit First Aid Certification, Food Safety Handlers, Safety Awareness Training, and any injuries/WSIB reports.
Financial & Administrative Stewardship
Invoicing: Track all supplier invoices and provide proper documentation into the expense platform.
Reconciliation: Reconcile 3rd Party reports and credits submitted for weekly tracking.
Communication: Respond timely to calls, messages, and updates via Connectteam.
Conflict Resolution: Engage in and resolve customer complaints through genuine hospitality.
Resource Management: Oversee uniform orders, cleaning schedule updates, and manage all Vacation and Leave Balances.
Culture Leadership: Lead the Culture Team updates to ensure a positive, people-focused environment.

SOS: Achievement of SOS goals; Transaction Count comparison to previous month.
P&L Health: Food Cost and Paper Cost compared to previous month; Waste Report analysis.
Growth Metrics: Sales totals, Check Average, and Catering Orders compared to previous month.
Cash & Credits: Cash Variance accuracy; Credits Submitted; Refund Report review.
Attendance: Team member tardiness/absenteeism summary; Disciplinary Summary.
Spot Counts: Record of Inventory Spot Count streaks missed or completed.
Facility Health: Maintenance report status and open Help Tickets.

Qualifications
Advanced Food Safety Certificate is a must.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Prior experience in a Chick-fil-A restaurant leadership role is preferred.
Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve, and make quick decisions on a daily basis
Set goals and motivate a team towards achieving those goals

Computer proficiency including email, Microsoft Suite applications, and data analysis reports
Proven leadership experience (3+ years preferred), ideally in a high-volume restaurant or retail environment
Experience leading large teams (60+ team members)
Strong understanding of food safety, quality assurance, and cost control
High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills
