Acting Department Manager – Acting Program
About the Role
New Image College is seeking an Acting Department Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Acting program. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring smooth program delivery, supporting instructors and students, and maintaining the high standards NIC is known for in screen and on-camera training.
**Key Responsibilities**
- · Manage daily operations of the Acting department, including classroom logistics, resources, and facilities
- · Oversee instructor scheduling, availability coordination, and coverage
- · Support staff with onboarding, performance check-ins, and ongoing development
- · Serve as the primary point of contact for program related student inquiries, concerns, and program navigation
- · Coordinate with administration on enrollment, timetabling, and curriculum scheduling
- · Assist in the department budgets and resource needs
- · Assist with industry partners, guest instructors, and production contacts
**What We're Looking For**
- · Experience in an educational or arts administration environment
- · Strong organizational and communication skills
- · Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting
- · Background in or familiarity with acting, film, or performing arts (an asset)
- · Proficiency with scheduling tools and basic administrative software

Requirements
Degree in BFA
Minor in business, phycology, teaching is a bonus

NIC AMBASSADOR
Leadership abilities / systemic thinking
This person will engage with the future and current students in a professional and friendly manner. The role is to assist organize and host events, discussions, promotions, and various opportunities for students with the culture of NIC. They provide support to newly admitted Acting students with accommodation needs, student file updates, organization, and orientations. This is a person responsible for actively seeking out employer partners and cultivating relationships to provide employment opportunities to our current NIC student members.
