Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety, meal preparation, and kitchen operations to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction. The Line Cook will work closely with other kitchen staff to deliver delicious meals efficiently and consistently.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including stations and equipment
- Ensure all food handling practices adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines
- Serve dishes promptly and accurately to ensure timely delivery to customers
- Monitor food stock levels and communicate needs for replenishment
- Follow proper food safety procedures during meal preparation and service
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy hours
Experience
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred
- Knowledge of food industry standards, including food handling, safety, and sanitation practices
- Experience with meal preparation, cooking techniques, and food presentation
- Familiarity with serving customers in a fast-paced setting is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
