ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Carved & Crafted Catering Menus are used for all events, and entered with a proper order form in order for food to be prepared by the kitchen. Special event menus can be arranged with the executive chef. All events must be costed correctly and priced properly.
- Acts as SUPERVISOR for hourly associates and ensures the catering team delivers flawless service at every event.
- Coordinates service based on each clients’ individual needs.
- Keeps the BEO binder or board up to date and communicates changes to all associates as required.
- Creates flow charts, room sets ups, and oversees execution to ensure compliance.
- Uses a variety of event-related software tools, including Spoonfed and Catertrax.
- Ensures food portioning is correct for each event, while also ensuring all food served meets quality standards.
- Acts as the main point of contact for the client during events.
- Ensures a proper BEO has been obtained for each event.
- Ensures that the all client & company policies are followed at all times.
- Assists Chef and Sous Chefs with menu design for each event, to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Adheres and enforce all food safety policies.
- Uses a variety of event-related and computer-based software tools, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook at an advanced level.
- Completes productions and temperature logs for each order, and keeps all paperwork organized in the catering office as per HSQA standard.
- Keys in all catering requests and submits daily forecast to the Manager.
- Completes and submits inventory Monthly to the Manager.
- Ensures the cleaning and organizing of the catering room, including fridges, serving carts, walk-in fridge, prep table(s) and banquet room(s) is completed daily.
- Verify all team members are wearing proper uniform at all times, including name tag and non-slip shoes.
- Ensures the cleaning and organization of the hospitality admin space, along with all other users of the space.
- Participates in required staff meetings, Pre-Shift Huddles and communicates event needs to front line staff as required.
