As a Technical Designer / Draftsperson, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of high-end residential projects. As the technical reference within the team, you will ensure the consistency, feasibility, and technical integrity of every design—from the initial concept through production and installation.
Your responsabilities will include:
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Designers on the technical development of complex custom millwork projects.
- Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and project constraints to develop practical, efficient solutions that meet our quality standards.
- Develop advanced technical details, including joinery methods, anchoring systems, interfaces with other trades, integrated lighting solutions, and other architectural details.
- Ensure the technical consistency and manufacturability of each project from concept through fabrication.
- Mentor and support drafters by providing technical guidance, best practices, and design expertise during the preparation of shop drawings.
- Work closely with Project Managers to anticipate technical challenges and minimize design risks before production.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing and installation teams whenever required.
- Review and approve technical drawings before they are submitted to clients or released to production.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, manufacturing capabilities, and contractual requirements.
- Identify inconsistencies, potential issues, or missing information and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
- Communicate effectively in both French and English with internal teams and external partners, including architects, designers, and consultants.
- Document technical solutions, construction standards, assembly methods, and best practices to strengthen the company's technical knowledge base.

We're looking for an experienced professional who is passionate about technical excellence and committed to developing practical, long-lasting solutions.
- Diploma (DEP, DEC, or equivalent) in Cabinetmaking, Technical Drafting, Architectural Design, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in architectural millwork or technical design within a comparable environment.
- Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD 2D.
- Excellent ability to read, interpret, and analyze complex architectural and interior design drawings.
- In-depth knowledge of materials including solid wood, veneers, MDF, architectural hardware, and specialty building products.
- Strong understanding of architectural millwork manufacturing methods and construction techniques.
- Proven ability to solve complex technical challenges while anticipating manufacturing and installation constraints.
- Strong collaborative skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to a variety of stakeholders.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, autonomy, and technical leadership.
- Knowledge of manufacturing optimization and continuous improvement principles.
