Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Civil Construction Lead Hand to oversee and coordinate construction projects on-site. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise in construction processes, and proficiency with industry-standard software. This role is vital in ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The position offers an opportunity to lead teams, manage project documentation, and contribute to the successful delivery of civil infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project specifications
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project managers to ensure smooth workflow
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to guide on-site operations
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Primavera P6, and other tools for scheduling, tracking progress, and reporting
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets industry standards and client expectations
- Assist with budgeting and cost control measures to maintain project financial health
- Oversee the use of construction estimating tools for resource planning and procurement
- Implement and monitor safety procedures; enforce compliance with OSHA regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation of work progress, change orders, and site reports
- Lead troubleshooting efforts on-site to resolve issues promptly
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in civil construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and other relevant tools
- Demonstrated ability in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating
- Experience in quality control processes and safety management on large-scale projects
- Familiarity with budgeting practices within the construction industry
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively
- Prior experience working with civil infrastructure or similar projects is highly desirable

Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour
