Overview
Guac Mexi Grill is looking for a high-energy, hands-on Restaurant Supervisor to join our Thompson team. As a Supervisor, you aren't just watching from the sidelines; you are at the heart of the action. You will lead our crew during shifts, ensuring every burrito, taco, and bowl meets our "fresh-made" promise. The ideal candidate possesses a friendly demeanor and a genuine passion for making every guest feel like a regular.
Responsibilities
- Shift Leadership: Supervise daily operations to ensure efficiency and high standards of service.
- Guest Relations: Use your strong customer service skills to greet guests, handle inquiries, and ensure every visitor feels welcome and valued.
- Revenue Growth: Effectively upsell menu items (like adding that famous guac or upgrading to a meal) while maintaining a positive and helpful guest experience.
- Staff Support: Lead, train, and motivate team members, assisting with onboarding new staff and fostering a positive team environment.
- Food Safety & Quality: Oversee food preparation and handling to ensure compliance with health codes and Guac Mexi Grill quality standards.
- POS & Cash Management: Operate the POS system (Micros or similar) and manage cash handling procedures with high accuracy.
- Cleanliness & Sanitation: Maintain a sharp attention to detail regarding the cleanliness and organization of both the kitchen and dining areas.
- Communication: Act as the primary link between the kitchen and the front-of-house, ensuring clear and professional communication at all times.
Qualifications
- Customer-First Mindset: Strong customer service skills with a naturally friendly demeanor.
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory or lead role within the food service or hospitality industry.
- Food Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of food handling practices and safety regulations (Food Handler’s Certificate is an asset).
- Culinary Interest: Experience in food preparation is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn our recipes and techniques is essential.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal skills for interacting with our diverse Thompson customer base and our internal team.
- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with POS systems (Micros POS or similar).
- Reliability: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to support the restaurant's needs.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
