Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and mechanical knowledge
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, and fluid replacements
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs effectively and safely
- Follow manufacturer specifications and safety protocols during all repair procedures
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and assembly instructions to accurately complete repairs
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance services
- Assist with vehicle assembly or disassembly as needed for complex repairs or upgrades
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to clients
Skills
- Proven experience or mechanic experience with automotive repair expertise
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately
- Capable of heavy lifting and performing physically demanding tasks regularly
- Experience with vehicle maintenance routines and troubleshooting complex issues
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Knowledge of safety standards related to automotive repair environments
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
