Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, educating patients on oral health, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional patient experiences. Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix dental management software
- Provide support with orthodontic procedures and pediatric dentistry when necessary
- Ensure a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment in compliance with PIPEDA standards
- Address patient questions or concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
Requirements
- Valid CDHO licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current credentials
- Experience working in a dental office setting, preferably with pediatrics or orthodontic
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations, including bilingual capabilities are a plus
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety
Pay: $50.00-$55.00 per hour
