Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role requires strong communication skills, efficient time management, and a passion for hospitality. Prior experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling payments, and upselling menu items to enhance guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their visit
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring proper entry and timely delivery
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth operations
- Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities and enhance guest satisfaction
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables promptly during busy periods
- Ensure guest needs are met promptly and courteously, addressing any concerns professionally
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to handle food safely and maintain sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations
- Basic math skills for processing payments and making change accurately
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during shifts
- Food handling certification or knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous
- Hospitality mindset with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism
Pay: $17.60-$27.52 per hour
