Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. Someone who can lead a team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in various maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drywalling: Install and repair drywall, including taping, mudding, and sanding.
- Painting: Interior and exterior painting, texture ceiling repairs and painting and spray painting techniques for a smooth finish.
- Flooring: Install and repair LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) flooring (both click and glue types), and carpet installation.
- Countertop Installation: Install various types of countertops, ensuring a secure and aesthetically pleasing result.
- Plumbing: Perform minor plumbing repairs, including fixing leaks, replacing faucets and toilets, and unclogging drains.
- Bathroom Upgrades: Install new showers, including framing, plumbing, tiling, and finishing. Replace and upgrade existing showers, including the removal of old fixtures, tiles, and walls.
- Carpentry: Minor carpentry tasks, such as door repairs, shelving installation, and basic framing.
- Deck and Fence Work: Build, repair, and maintain decks and fences.
- Exterior Work: Install, repair, or replace siding, eaves, and troughs.
- General Maintenance: Perform a variety of other general maintenance tasks as needed, including troubleshooting and repairing various systems and equipment.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in general maintenance, drywall, painting, and flooring installations.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and basic electrical systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members or clients.
- Previous experience with deck and fence building/repair is highly desirable.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Be a "thinker" - a passion for problem solving
- Trailer experience is an asset
Must-Have Skills:
- Dependable, punctual and flexible
** Must have a valid drivers license and own truck or van.
