ROLE
Reporting to the Lead Cashier, the Customer Service Associate plays an integral by providing customers with fast, friendly, and courteous customer service. In this capacity, the Customer Service Associate liaises with the Lead Cashier on all escalation matters deriving from a purchase of sale. The Customer Service Associate monitors and maintains checkout area and/or processes return transactions, as assigned. Proactively seeks product/project knowledge to provide customers with information and identify selling opportunities. Follows all policies and procedures to ensure that shrink is minimized. Each associate has the responsibility of providing a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, immediately correcting hazards & unsafe conditions or reporting conditions to the Manager on Duty, and working safely as not to endanger themselves, co-workers, vendors, or customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for ensuring that respective till counts balance at the beginning and end of shift and ensures Till Log’s are completed on a daily basis.
- Follow the standard checkout process to ensure accuracy and to prevent shrink
- Registers purchased STIHL products on the STIHL warranty website on date of purchase.
- Completes Honda Registration Forms with customer at time of purchase for warranty registration.
- Greets customers, conducts cash, debit, or credit transactions with customers and provides a receipt.
- Complete other tasks, as assigned by manager
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum one (1) year experience in a retail environment, construction industry experience is an asset.
- Cash handling experience is required.
- Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent teamwork and team building skills.
- Able to effectively communicate.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
