Overview
Derrick’s Sandblasting & Painting is currently seeking a Level 1 (or higher) Body Repair Technician to join our team. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position and involves handling minor to major collision repairs.
Responsibilities
- Assess vehicle damages and compare findings with the provided estimate.
- Perform tear-down and assembly of vehicles.
- Perform body repairs
- Complete general shop duties as assigned.
- Assist other technicians with shop projects as required.
- Assist with the removal and installation of truck parts as needed
- Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and quality expectations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
Requirements
- Strong knowledge related to heavy trucks and automotive systems
- Previous auto body experience is required
- Experience using power tools including grinders, drills, and cutting equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- A strong interest in continually upgrading your skills and industry knowledge
- The ability and willingness to complete I-Car training
* Starting wage for this position is negotiable depending on previous experience and qualifications*
