Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Ready Mix Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to deliver concrete and related materials to construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, construction processes, and excellent driving skills. The Ready Mix Driver plays a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining safety standards on the job site.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport ready mix concrete to various construction locations
- Ensure accurate loading and unloading of materials, adhering to safety protocols
- Maintain the cleanliness and proper functioning of the vehicle and equipment
- Assist with site setup, including positioning the truck for efficient delivery and pouring operations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and construction teams regarding delivery schedules and site conditions
- Perform routine inspections of the vehicle before and after shifts, reporting any maintenance issues
- Follow all safety guidelines related to heavy equipment operation, paving, concrete forming, and other construction activities
- Support additional tasks such as loader operation, excavator handling, or concrete finishing as needed
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and vehicle maintenance
- Construction experience, including , concrete forming, or related fields is preferred
- Knowledge of safety procedures on construction sites and during transportation of materials
- Prior experience with concrete delivery or ready mix operations is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual tasks associated with construction work
