Nurturing Behaviours Inc. is seeking a part time Registered Social Worker to provide child, youth and family counselling services in London. Nurturing Behaviours is a multidisciplinary clinic that provides ABA therapy, Occupational Therapy and Social Work services to children and youth with a variety of diagnoses (though a diagnosis is not required for services). Our mission is to provide more affordable, wrap-around services to individuals and families in our community - and your position would be a vital addition to our growing Social Work department. As an MSW, you would assist our current Social Work team with meeting the needs of individuals and families in our community, starting off with part time hours, with the opportunity to grow to full time.
This role would be a great fit for someone who is looking to expand their skills with families/children, working primarily evenings and Saturdays to start. You will be successful in this role if you are someone who enjoys taking initiative and are able to work independently for the most part, with opportunities to collaborate and meet with other team members on an as-needs basis.

Reporting to Nurturing Behaviours Inc.’s Clinical Director, you will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Fluent and able to provide services both virtually and in-person dependent on client/program needs and service areas
- Able/willing to travel to client homes or different community locations depending on client/program needs
- Interview clients individually, in families, or in groups, to assess their situation and challenges and determine the types of services required
- Provide direct parent support- advise on available resources, programming, and any other applicable supportive services
- Create and/or submit application forms for access to resources, and collaborate with other agencies, support staff, and professionals
- Create and/or run peer support groups and parent support groups
- Provide counsel and therapy to assist clients in developing skills to deal with and resolve their social and personal challenges and participate in the URS program to provide Social Worker support to parents and clients in the program
- Plan programs of assistance for clients including referral to agencies that provide financial assistance, legal aid, housing, medical treatment and other services
- Serve as members on interdisciplinary teams of professionals working with client groups
- Act as advocates for client groups in the community, lobby for solutions to problems directly affecting client groups and develop prevention and intervention programs to meet community needs
- Provide mediation services
- Evaluate the effectiveness of counseling and social programs
- May provide public education and consultation to professionals or groups regarding counseling services, issues and methods
- Such other duties and responsibilities that are related and/or ancillary to any of the items set out above in this Job Description.
- Provide detailed documentation of services provided according to services rendered and requirements for the OCSWSSW
- Submit, process, and ensure fulfillment of payment on our scheduling/payment platform for services rendered - including different funding sources and insurance providers (consult with Administration for any questions)
- Communicate with the Management team and participate in team meetings as needed to provide department updates
Credentials: MSW required, 1-2 years experience preferred, must have OCSWSSW Registration (valid and in good standing)
Job Location: 2320 Main Street in London, potential for commute to rural locations depending on client needs and availability.
