Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing high-quality dishes and supporting the overall food service process. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent food safety practices, and experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Cook menu items with consistency, attention to detail, and adherence to food safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items
- Support the kitchen team during busy service times to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Follow all food handling and safety procedures to uphold health standards
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and quality control
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or food industry preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal assembly
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and good communication abilities
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or evenings if necessary
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new culinary skills
