Are you starting your culinary journey or looking to build your experience in a professional kitchen? Digby Pines Golf Resort & Spa is looking for a motivated and dependable Cook 3 to join our culinary team.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn, grow, and develop your skills in a supportive, fast-paced resort environment.
As a Cook 3, you will support the kitchen team in daily food preparation and service:
- Assist in the preparation and basic cooking of menu items
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your workstation
- Follow prep lists and support mise en place for service
- Assist senior cooks during à la carte, banquets, and events
- Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
- Help with receiving, storing, and handling food items properly
- Learn recipes, plating standards, and kitchen procedures
- Support overall kitchen operations as directed by chefs
- Previous kitchen experience is an asset (but not required)
- Culinary training or enrollment in a culinary program is an asset
- Strong willingness to learn and grow in a professional kitchen
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Safe Food Handling Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- WHMIS (asset)
- First Aid & CPR (asset)
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
