Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finishing concrete surfaces to meet project specifications, ensuring quality craftsmanship and safety standards. This role involves working on various construction projects, including residential, commercial, and renovation sites. Candidates with a strong background in concrete finishing, masonry, and related trades will thrive in this position. A commitment to precision, safety, and teamwork is essential for success.
Responsibilities
- Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and shaping freshly poured concrete using hand tools and power tools
- Install rebar and formwork according to blueprints and schematics to prepare for concrete pouring
- Operate heavy equipment such as mixers, screeds, and trowels safely and efficiently
- Use carpentry skills for form building and adjustments during the finishing process
- Apply finishing techniques such as brooming, troweling, and sealing to achieve desired surface textures
- Conduct quality checks to ensure finished work meets project specifications and safety standards
- Assist with demolition or renovation tasks when required, utilizing Grinding, jack hamnering or other specialized skills
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment and tools
- Proficiency in rebar installation, concrete forming.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Familiarity with restoration work and renovation processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during material handling
- Construction experience with a focus on concrete finishing or related trades is highly desirable
