Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Store Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing sales transactions, and ensuring the store maintains an organized and inviting environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop sales and merchandising skills while engaging with diverse customers. Bilingual abilities and experience in technology sales or product demos are a plus, contributing to a versatile and engaging shopping experience for our clientele.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to enhance customer understanding
- Manage POS systems for accurate cash handling, sales processing, and receipts
- Upsell products and promote special offers to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain organized merchandise displays and ensure products are properly stocked
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering personalized recommendations
- Handle cashiering duties including processing payments via cash, credit, or debit cards
- Keep the store clean, organized, and welcoming throughout the shift
- Utilize strong communication skills to engage with customers effectively
- Manage time efficiently to ensure all duties are completed promptly during shifts
Experience
- Prior retail sales experience is preferred, especially in technology or electronics products
- Bilingual skills (English and additional languages) are highly desirable for serving diverse customers
- Experience with merchandising, POS systems, and cash handling is advantageous
- Strong customer service background with excellent communication and phone etiquette skills
- Ability to demonstrate basic math skills for transactions and upselling techniques
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in technical sales or product demos is a plus but not required; training will be provided for specific product knowledge
