Front Desk Associate (Future Esthetician Opportunity)
Starting Wage: $20.00/hour
Nuestro Day Spa has proudly served the Marpole community for over 20 years, and we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us.
This position is designed for a recent esthetics graduate who is looking for their first opportunity in the spa industry. While the role starts as a Front Desk Associate, our goal is to gradually transition the right candidate into an esthetician position as they become familiar with our clients and our clients become familiar with them.
Many of our guests have been coming to Nuestro Day Spa for over 20 years. Building trust with our loyal clientele is something we value deeply, so we believe introducing a new esthetician gradually creates the best experience for both our clients and our team.
Schedule
- Tuesdays: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Starting Pay: $20.00/hour
About the Role
Your primary responsibility will be managing the front desk and helping create a welcoming experience for every client who walks through our doors.
As you become comfortable, and if you would like to, you will also have the opportunity to perform esthetic services when appointments are booked. There is no pressure to take clients immediately. We understand everyone gains confidence at their own pace, and we'll support you throughout the process.
As you build experience and establish relationships with our clientele, there will be opportunities to transition into a larger esthetician role with increased treatment bookings.
Front Desk Responsibilities
- Welcome and check in clients.
- Answer phone calls and book appointments.
- Review and organize the daily schedule.
- Prepare treatment rooms before appointments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and relaxing spa environment.
- Ensure the spa is welcoming, tidy, and ready for clients throughout the day.
- Support the owner and assist with daily spa operations.
Esthetic Services (Optional as You Grow)
If you are comfortable, you may gradually begin accepting appointments for services such as:
- Basic facials
- Facial and body waxing
- Regular manicures
- Regular pedicures
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Esthetics program.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Friendly, professional, and reliable.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Passion for building a long-term career in the beauty industry.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the company.
