Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and portioning items according to recipes.
- Support the kitchen staff during busy service times by helping with food prep and station setup.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following proper food handling and safety procedures.
- Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying supervisors of shortages or issues.
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with health regulations to guarantee guest safety.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely food service and smooth kitchen operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in restaurant, hotel, or food service environments is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures, food handling, and safety standards.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail when cleaning and preparing ingredients for cooking.
