Almadina Language Charter Academy is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and student-centered Chemistry Teacher to join our growing High School team. Responsibilities
- Teach Chemistry courses in accordance with the Alberta curriculum.
- Design engaging lessons that promote inquiry, problem-solving, and scientific literacy.
- Assess student learning using a variety of formative and summative assessment strategies.
- Maintain accurate student records and communicate progress with students and families.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support school initiatives and interdisciplinary learning.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment that supports student success.
- Participate actively in professional learning and school activities.
Qualifications
- Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Bachelor's degree in Education with a specialization or strong background in Chemistry or related sciences.
- Experience teaching high school Chemistry is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of the Alberta curriculum and Teaching Quality Standard.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to collaboration, continuous improvement, and student achievement.
