Reporting to the Building Manager and District Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Manager responds to building and equipment maintenance needs in a timely manner.
- Completes preventive maintenance on buildings and site equipment.
- Performs general carpentry repairs such as removal and installation of baseboards and flooring, and completes vacant suite maintenance tasks.
- Performs full painting and paint touch-ups in all vacant suites and common areas throughout all four buildings
- Assists with shipping and receiving and general tasks as required.
- Receiving supply orders and stocking supplies in all buildings
- Garbage and recycling removal
- Ensures buildings and grounds are safe and hazard free including snow and ice removal when required.
- Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists documenting work performed.
- On call to promptly responds to emergency maintenance requests.
- Assists with fire alarm and emergency light testing.
- Collaborates with and assists other departments as requested.
- Adheres to safe work practices.
Qualifications:
- Performs minor plumbing and electrical repairs; preventative building maintenance; outdoor property maintenance. Some carpentry experience required.
- Experience with general maintenance tools.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Organizational and time management skills
- Physically fit with the ability to handle the physical demands of the position including lifting a minimum of 25-50 lbs., climbing, pushing, pulling, walking/standing for prolonged periods.
- Ability to complete suite painting, deliveries of supplies within the buildings, and maintenance requests within specific timelines.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; demonstrate a positive attitude with excellent customer service skills.
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector dated within 6 months.
