Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Service Technician to join our automotive service team. This entry-level position offers hands-on training and the opportunity to develop essential skills in vehicle maintenance and repair. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in automotive technology, a willingness to learn, and the physical ability to perform various tasks. Prior dealership experience or mechanic background is a plus, but not required. This role provides a valuable pathway toward becoming a skilled automotive technician.
Duties
- Assist experienced technicians with vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform repairs and assembly tasks
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to understand repair procedures
- Perform heavy lifting of parts and equipment safely during service operations
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Support the team in vehicle assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting processes
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients about repair work when necessary
Experience
- Dealership experience or previous mechanic experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Basic mechanical knowledge related to automotive systems and components
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics is advantageous
- Experience with vehicle maintenance, assembly, or repair tasks is beneficial
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Customer service skills are a plus for interacting with clients professionally
- Prior experience with automotive repair or maintenance will support success in this apprenticeship role
Pay: $21.00-$36.00 per hour
