Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant and hospitality environment. Duties
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, and serving.
- Supervise and manage staff, including interviewing, training, and scheduling team members to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Handle customer service issues promptly and professionally to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Oversee food industry best practices related to kitchen operations, food safety, and cleanliness.
- Lead team management initiatives to foster a positive work environment focused on teamwork and hospitality excellence.
- Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment.
- Support the implementation of restaurant policies and procedures to optimize operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality leadership roles.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations.
- Supervising experience within the food industry or restaurant environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence.
- Leadership ability to motivate and manage diverse teams effectively.
- Experience with interviewing, hiring, and training staff members.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques.
- Previous hotel or barista experience is a plus but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
