Accounts Receivable Clerk

Westcan is currently seeking an Accounts receivable Clerk to join our team.
Shift: Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities:

Compile daily bank deposits

Prepare daily deposits for cheque posting

Enter and allocate all payments received to appropriate accounts

Post cash receipts
-
Reconcile accounts and contact customers with overdue accounts

Create Excel spreadsheets to monitor customer account details for nonpayment, delayed payments and other irregularities

Promote and foster Customer Service by investing time in building working relationships through prompt follow-up on all customer queries
Qualifications:
-
A diploma in accounting OR a minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar role with high volumes of data processing

Knowledge of the transportation industry is an asset and the willingness to learn is required

Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills

An aptitude for mathematics and related problem solving abilities are required for calculating payment differences

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Well organized, detail oriented, with a roll up your sleeves attitude towards work

Systems experience including Great Plains accounting software and the TMW System is an asset
