Overview
We are seeking a skilled FCAW CWB Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding expertise, particularly in Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), and hold a valid CWB certification. This role involves fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Candidates with experience in construction, ductwork, or manufacturing environments are encouraged to apply. Duties
- Perform FCAW welding in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Read and interpret detailed drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate and assemble metal structures
- Operate plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication machinery as needed
- Conduct rigging and mechanical tasks such as lifting and positioning materials using cranes or forklifts
- Utilize calipers and other measuring tools to ensure precision in fabrication
- Perform basic machining tasks including using hand tools and machining equipment for component adjustments
- Follow safety protocols during welding, cutting, rigging, and assembly processes
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving fabrication issues on-site or in the workshop
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
Skills
- Proven experience in FCAW welding; CWB certification required
- Proficiency in MIG welding,
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings
- Mechanical knowledge related to rigging, machining, assembly, and construction processes
- Ability to operate cranes, forklifts, press brake machines, and other manufacturing equipment safely
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, calipers, and basic math for precise measurements
- Experience with ductwork fabrication or construction projects is a plus
- Knowledge of schematics for electrical or mechanical systems is advantageous
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
