Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Early Childhood Assistant to support the development and well-being of young children in a nurturing educational environment. Responsibilities
- Support lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate educational activities and play-based learning experiences
- Assist with supervising children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that encourages social-emotional development
- Help with classroom organization, including preparing materials and maintaining cleanliness
- Provide individualized attention to children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities
- Support children's physical needs through caregiving tasks such as diapering, feeding, and comforting
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to promote a positive learning atmosphere
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with young children is preferred
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Background in teaching or early childhood education is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and caregivers in a team-oriented setting
- Compassionate caregiving skills combined with patience and enthusiasm for early childhood development
