Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating press brake machinery to bend and form metal sheets according to specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate a press brake machine to bend, form, and straighten metal sheets
- Read and interpret blueprints or work orders to determine product specifications
- Inspect finished pieces for quality and accuracy
- Make adjustments to machine settings to control speed, material feed, and bend angles
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or similar role
- Proficiency in operating machinery such as CNC press brakes
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
- Knowledge of metal fabrication processes including welding, plasma cutting, and laser cutting
- Familiarity with tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges for quality inspection
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Experience with forklift operation is a plus
- Ability to use cranes for material handling is desirable
