Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, as well as familiarity with orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology, will be highly valued. Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with safety protocols
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including orthodontic and pediatric treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
- Manage patient records using dental software such as Dentrix and Epic
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Handle administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing patient check-in/check-out processes
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile work environment at all times
- Support the dental receptionist in managing patient flow and answering inquiries when needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in dental assisting, with knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Familiarity with dental software platforms such as Epic and Dentrix
- Experience working with orthodontics, pediatrics, or in a medical setting is preferred
- Knowledge of CAD systems for imaging or modeling is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and compassion
Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
