Uptown Pet Salon is a small business in Fort McMurray owned and operated by International Certified Master Groomer Alisa Unruh. We are a professional, creative, fun, one-on-one pet grooming salon and grooming supply store.
We are seeking a warm and welcoming individual to be the first point of contact for our clients! If you are proficient in nail trimming and love to chat with clients about their pets this is the job for you. Join us in creating a positive atmosphere and providing outstanding customer care!
Duties:
- Provide nail trims, ear cleaning, toothbrushing, and paw pad shaves for a variety of pet breeds by appointment and walk in basis.
- Check-in and out clients, receive payments, and relay feedback to pet owners.
- Ensure the health and comfort of animals by maintaining grooming tools and adhering to safety standards.
- Offer personalized grooming/product advice to pet owners.
- Manage appointment scheduling and inquiries via phone/SMS/in person in an efficient and helpful manner.
- Maintain client records. Ensuring all health concerns and grooming requirements are to date.
- Maintaining a clean, organized grooming area and front reception. Re-stock inventory as needed.
- Assist pet groomers with handling, bathing or drying as needed.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills to effectively assist pet owners and address their needs.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for handling pets and equipment.
- Previous experience in a pet care or grooming environment is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
- A passion for animals and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Shift hours are Tuesday-Saturday 10:15am-5:45pm
Wage From $18/hr + 30% bonus commission on weekly service revenue over $600.
