Position Summary
The Shop Labourer is responsible for assisting with general shop duties, equipment maintenance, cleaning, organization, material handling, and other tasks required to support the shop and field operations. The successful candidate must be reliable, safety-conscious, physically capable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist mechanics and shop staff with general maintenance and repair tasks.
- Clean, organize, and maintain the shop, yard, tools, and equipment.
- Load, unload, move, and organize materials, parts, tools, and equipment.
- Assist with servicing, greasing, fueling, and general maintenance of equipment.
- Perform general labour duties as assigned by the Shop Supervisor.
- Operate company vehicles and equipment as required.
- Pick up and deliver parts, materials, and supplies when required.
- Assist with maintaining accurate inventory of shop supplies and parts.
- Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Report damaged equipment, safety hazards, or maintenance concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Perform all other duties and tasks as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Class G driver’s licence is required.
- Clean and acceptable driver’s abstract.
