Our company is looking for an experienced Residential HVAC Technician to join our growing team.
We are a well-established North Shore heating and cooling company with decades of experience serving homeowners across Vancouver and the North Shore. We specialize in residential heating, cooling, fireplaces, and comfort systems, and we are looking for someone who takes pride in clean installs, solid workmanship, and not leaving behind a mechanical room that looks like a raccoon learned sheet metal.
About The Role
As a Residential HVAC Installer / Gas Fitter, you will be responsible for installing residential HVAC and gas equipment, including furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, and related venting and piping systems.
This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, comfortable working in residential homes, and able to complete installations professionally from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair residential HVAC and gas equipment
- Work on furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, fireplaces, boilers, water heaters, and related systems
- Perform seasonal maintenance, inspections, safety checks, and tune-ups
- Troubleshoot ignition systems, gas valves, pressure switches, blower motors, control boards, thermostats, venting issues, refrigerant-related issues, and airflow problems
- Complete combustion testing, gas leak checks, electrical testing, and system performance checks
- Provide clear repair recommendations and explain options to homeowners
- Identify when equipment repair or replacement should be recommended
- Maintain accurate job notes, photos, invoices, and service documentation
- Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, office staff, and team members
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow manufacturer specifications, safety procedures, and code requirements
- Represent the company with professionalism, reliability, and respect for customers’ homes
- Install residential furnaces, heat pumps, and air conditioners
- Perform gas piping, venting, ductwork modifications, equipment setup, and system connections
- Remove and replace existing heating and cooling equipment
- Install indoor coils, outdoor units, line sets, condensate drains, thermostats, and accessories
- Troubleshoot installation-related issues and ensure systems are operating properly before completion
- Complete job documentation, photos, notes, and material tracking as required
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in servicing, repairing, and installing residential HVAC equipment
- Gas fitting experience required
- Strong understanding of venting, gas piping, ducting, refrigeration line sets, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read installation manuals and follow manufacturer requirements
- Comfortable working in crawlspaces, attics, mechanical rooms, rooftops, and tight spaces, because apparently houses were designed by people who hate installers
- Clean, professional workmanship
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well independently or with a team
- Positive attitude and pride in doing the job properly the first time
Required Qualifications:
- Class-B Gas Fitter License/Refrigeration Ticket
- Refrigeration/heat pump installation experience
- Furnace installation and retrofit experience
- Sheet metal experience
- Experience with brands such as Lennox, Daikin, American Standard, and Tosot
- Valid driver’s licence

Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday to Friday
- Occasional overtime may be available depending on workload
