As an on-call position, you will respond promptly to maintenance needs, perform routine cleaning tasks, and support facilities operations with enthusiasm and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Respond quickly and efficiently to on-call maintenance requests during weekends, ensuring issues are addressed promptly to minimize disruptions.
- Perform thorough cleaning of common areas, restrooms, offices, and other facility spaces using commercial cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, or cleanliness concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness standards by sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and sanitizing surfaces in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
- Support basic facilities maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, reporting repairs needed for plumbing or electrical systems, and assisting with minor repairs.
- Document all service requests, cleaning activities, and maintenance actions accurately in logs or digital systems for record-keeping purposes.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure the facility remains in optimal condition during weekend hours.
Experience
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance procedures including basic repairs and safety protocols is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively during on-call shifts.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties which may include lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning equipment.
