Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Flooring Installer specializing in Carpets to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various flooring surfaces with precision and professionalism. This role requires a strong understanding of construction principles, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment. Duties
- Measure and prepare surfaces for carpet installation, ensuring accurate blueprint interpretation and layout planning
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, fit, and secure carpets and underlayments according to specifications
- Remove existing flooring materials safely and efficiently before new installation
- Install carpets using appropriate techniques, including stretching, tacking, and sealing edges for a seamless finish
- Perform other flooring installations like laminate and vinyl plank as needed, ensuring proper adhesion and alignment
- Read blueprints and construction plans to determine project scope and specific requirements
- Apply caulking or sealants around edges or transitions to ensure a clean, professional appearance
- Conduct inspections of completed work to verify quality standards are met
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely completion of projects
Requirements
- Proven experience in flooring installation, including carpets, laminate, and vinyl flooring.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as cutters, pry bars, trowels, and measuring devices
- Construction experience with knowledge of blueprint reading and carpentry fundamentals
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow detailed instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail with excellent craftsmanship skills
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials, kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license are advantageous
- Prior experience working with flooring materials or in a construction environment is highly desirable

Pay: $40.00-$60.00 per hour
