First Aid certification
Able to provide an up to date immunization record as per new Ministry requirements, a clear health and vulnerable sector police check as a condition of employment.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the child care “team” to ensure that the programs are in accordance with the Ministry of Education Early Years Act and the County of Simcoe quality Assurance.
- Work any shift as required – to be discussed during the interview between 6:30 am-6:30pm
- Develop and implement with your “team” individual and group curriculums school age children incorporating the ELECT and HDLH Framework
- Ensure that the Program Philosophy and Behaviour Guidance Policies of the Centre is upheld
- Ability to successfully carry out administrative duties as required
- Possess the skills and interest towards successfully providing enrichment activities, recreational activities, sports and active games for the Kindergarten and School Age children
- Excellent command of the English language (both oral and written); highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to co-operate, follow instructions and make difficult decisions; ability to deal with conflict
- Comfortable in a Team environment that is fast paced and very creative
- Must be responsive to family and staff needs; have strong problem solving skills; ability to evaluate and ensure that staff develop a program that is consistent with the Centre philosophy
- Demonstrated ability to work with families in complex situations and from a variety of cultures
- Skills and interests in creative art, drama, music, science, literacy and numeracy programs
- A genuine love and commitment towards the Early Childhood Profession and working with young children
