Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Renovation / Plumbing Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with various renovation projects, plumbing installations, and general maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and an interest in building trades. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in construction and plumbing, with opportunities to develop a broad skill set in the industry.
Responsibilities
- Demolition, renovation, and construction activities on-site
- PA primary focus on basic carpentry work including framing, cutting, and assembly
- Support plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Conduct site cleanup and debris removal
- Support welding, assembly, and other trade-related tasks under supervision
- Conduct routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Assist in evaluating project requirements and planning work scopes
- Communicate professionally with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
Qualifications
- Previous experience in carpentry and construction.
- Experience with demolition and renovation projects
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, plumbing, or related fields is preferred
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding, or blueprint reading is a plus
- Ability to read schematics and perform basic math calculations relevant to construction tasks
- Strong work ethic with the ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on diverse responsibilities in renovation projects
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labour
