The Landscaping Team Member position is a critical role when it comes to creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. The role is centered on the landscaping aspects, with a focus on:
- Cultivating garden beds, planting flowers, shrubs, and trees, and performing routine maintenance such as weeding, fertilizing, and mulching.
- Operating landscaping equipment with care, including lawn mowers, leaf blowers, string trimmers, and hedge trimmers, to keep grounds looking neat and well-manicured.
- Assisting with the design and implementation of landscape layouts, working closely with the team to bring garden designs to life.
- Managing the health of plants and the aesthetics of outdoor spaces, diagnosing and treating pests and diseases as needed.
- Collaborating with the team to ensure all landscaping activities are completed in a timely manner and to the client's satisfaction.
This position requires a passion for horticulture, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions. A background in landscaping is required, as well as a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position you will possess the following skills, attributes and abilities:
- Previous snow and lawn maintenance experience
- Minimum 2-5 years experience in the Landscaping Industry
- Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift
- Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction activities
- Well organized, independent, and self-managing, with strong communication skills
- Responsible, dependable with a willingness to learn
- Quality focused, high attention to detail with excellent problem solving abilities
- Ability to pivot and adapt to changing demands
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
