Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Cashier to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, strong time management skills, and a passion for creating a welcoming environment for our customers. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in the food industry, including cash handling, food safety, and POS operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to company standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, accurately processing transactions and handling cash and card payments
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces
- Ensure food safety standards are followed during food handling and serving
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers efficiently without compromising quality
- Restock supplies as needed and assist with inventory management
- Handle cash register operations with accuracy, including cash handling and basic math calculations
Experience
- Previous experience as a barista or in food service is preferred, but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
- Experience in serving, food preparation, and food safety practices is advantageous
- Ability to manage time effectively during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail in cash handling and order accuracy
- Basic math skills necessary for cash transactions and register balancing

Pay: $17.50-$20.00 per hour
