Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional guest services and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to manage reservations and seating efficiently. Previous experience in food service or restaurant hospitality is preferred but not required. The Host/Hostess will play a key role in creating a memorable experience for our guests and supporting smooth restaurant operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
- Manage reservations and waitlists using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Answer phone calls professionally, providing information and taking reservations as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand area
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service flow
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly
- Assist with maintaining restaurant cleanliness and adhering to health and safety standards
- Support the team during busy periods by managing guest flow efficiently
Requirements
- Previous experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality preferred; restaurant experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills and phone etiquette
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly, approachable demeanor with excellent customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
