Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Associate to oversee and perform maintenance tasks for a commercial building. This role involves ensuring the facility operates smoothly, safely, and efficiently by applying technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, and facilities maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, experience supervising maintenance teams, and a comprehensive understanding of building systems. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair building systems using schematics, technical manuals, and CMMS software.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for system monitoring and control.
- Conduct welding repairs and mechanical adjustments as needed to maintain equipment integrity.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS or other documentation tools.
- Supervise maintenance staff or contractors during repairs or projects, providing leadership and ensuring safety compliance.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues to minimize downtime or safety hazards.
- Coordinate with facility management to plan maintenance schedules that minimize disruption to building occupants.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes through regular inspections and documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant or occupant concerns related to building operations.
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience in facilities or manufacturing maintenance environments.
- Strong electrical experience with knowledge of schematics and electrical systems troubleshooting.
- Mechanical knowledge including welding, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general building repairs.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CMMS software for work order management.
- Experience working in manufacturing or large commercial facilities with complex systems.
- Ability to read technical schematics and mechanical drawings effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team coordination.
