About Us
Insight Solutions is a staffing support service that provides qualified, trauma-informed relief staff to nonprofit organizations and community agencies across the Greater Toronto Area and Durham Region.
We support organizations in the areas of child and youth services, residential care, youth justice, mental health and addictions, housing, developmental services, violence against women services, and community support programs.
Position Summary
We are currently expanding our relief staffing roster and are seeking experienced Child & Youth Workers, Residential Counsellors, Developmental Service Workers, Community Support Workers, and other frontline professionals for casual and on-call assignments. The site for this position will be in a rural area of Peterborough County. The site is not accessible by public transit, taxis, and ride share programs.
Assignments may include:
- Residential care programs
- Child and youth services
- Youth justice settings
- Transitional housing programs
- Community support programs
- Mental health and addictions services
- Developmental services
- Shelter and housing programs
Responsibilities
- Provide trauma-informed support to clients and residents
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment
- Complete documentation and incident reporting as required
- Support daily living activities and program routines
- Respond appropriately to crisis situations
- Work collaboratively with agency staff and multidisciplinary teams
- Uphold professional boundaries and confidentiality
Qualifications

- Social Service Work

- Criminology
- Psychology
- Developmental Services
- Mental Health & Addictions
- Other related human services fields
Required
- Current Broad Record Check (BRC) (mandatory)***
- Valid First Aid & CPR Certification
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Medical clearance for fit to work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a tea
- Experience working with youth, women, survivors of violence, or vulnerable populations
Strong Assets
- CPI, UMAB, NVCI, or equivalent crisis intervention training
- ASIST training
- Residential care experience
- Youth justice experience
- Mental health and addictions experience
- Developmental services experience
- Medication administration experience
