The Parkside Hotel & Spa is looking for a friendly, professional, and reliable full-time Bell Person to join our team on a temporary contract from October 6 through December 6, 2026.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Bell Person plays an essential role in shaping the overall guest experience by delivering exceptional service and a warm, professional welcome. As one of the first points of contact for our guests, this position helps create a positive first impression while supporting smooth and efficient front desk operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Acknowledges all guests and visitors with a friendly, professional greeting as they enter and exit the property.
- Assists guests with luggage upon arrival and departure.
- Organizes arriving and departing luggage with accuracy and efficiency.
- Delivers luggage to guestrooms before check-in.
- Keeps the bell storage room tidy and organized.
- Provides information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
- Delivers amenities, packages, and requested items to guestrooms.
- Performs errands for the hotel that may require travel off the hotel property.
- Keeps the lobby and driveway area clean and tidy.
- Ensures the bell podium and desk are organized, clean, and presentable.
- Oversees driveway activity, directing guests to keep the roundabout clear and traffic flowing smoothly.
- Ensures bell carts are readily available in the lobby and parking levels.
- Performs regular cleaning and polishing of bell carts.
- Demonstrates clear, courteous, and professional communication with guests, visitors, team members, vendors, and management at all times.
- Performs routine security walks of the hallways, stairwells, parkade, and other public areas.
- Other duties as assigned by the Front Office Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous customer service experience is required.
- Previous bell or front desk experience is preferred.
- Passion to deliver outstanding service.
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team, as well as independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to perform the physical tasks of the job.
- Available to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
