Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional guest services, managing food and beverage orders, and creating a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires strong multitasking skills, knowledge of POS systems, and a passion for hospitality. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. The Server/Bartender will play a vital role in ensuring guests have an enjoyable dining experience through attentive service, effective communication, and excellent food safety practices.
Responsibilities
- Take and serve food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages responsibly as a bartender
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly and addressing their needs promptly
- Manage cash handling, cashiering, and basic math calculations for billing purposes
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen tasks when necessary
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and adherence to health regulations
- Manage time effectively during busy service hours to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Handle guest inquiries professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction and repeat business
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to manage time efficiently during high-volume periods
- Basic math skills for cashiering and billing accuracy
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed in the hospitality environment
- Food industry or serving experience is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
