Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hardscape Specialist to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing a variety of hardscaping projects, including installation and finishing of concrete, masonry, and other outdoor structures. This role requires a strong understanding of construction principles, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. The Hardscape Specialist will contribute to creating durable, aesthetically pleasing outdoor environments while adhering to safety standards and project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate project execution
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively for various tasks such as concrete forming, masonry, and carpentry
- Install concrete features including patios, walkways, driveways, and retaining walls with precision finishing techniques
- Perform masonry work such as bricklaying, stone setting, and tile laying to create durable outdoor structures
- Apply caulking and sealing techniques to ensure weatherproofing and longevity of installations
- Operate heavy equipment safely for excavation, grading, and material handling tasks
- Assist with construction estimating to help determine project scope and material requirements
- Conduct restoration work as needed to repair or upgrade existing hardscape features
- Install flooring or other surface materials as part of comprehensive outdoor or indoor projects
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and according to safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction-related roles with emphasis on masonry, carpentry, or concrete work
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Knowledge of concrete forming, finishing techniques, and masonry skills such as tile laying and brickwork
- Experience with construction estimating is a plus
- Familiarity with electrical experience or plumbing is advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow technical instructions precisely
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions
- Valid <PERSON> certification or relevant licensing preferred but not required
