Job Summary
Dewan E Khass Restaurant is seeking a friendly, attentive Front Server to provide exceptional guest service in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service and hospitality, with a focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and ensuring guest satisfaction through attentive service and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide prompt, courteous service throughout their dining experience
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cashiering duties including cash handling and processing payments accurately
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently maintained in accordance with health regulations
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth restaurant operations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations throughout shifts
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure high levels of guest satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, with knowledge of the food industry standards
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for order entry and cashiering functions
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing bills or checks
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Hospitality-oriented mindset with a focus on guest satisfaction and upselling techniques
- Kitchen experience or food preparation skills are a plus but not mandatory
- Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation to collaborate effectively with staff
Pay: $18.25-$20.00 per hour
