Duties
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to assemble piping and fixtures according to blueprints and schematics.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation and repairs.
- Support the team in performing routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and conducting preventative maintenance on plumbing systems.
- Learn to operate construction equipment safely while adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Help with carpentry tasks related to plumbing projects, such as framing or supporting structures.
- Maintain a clean work environment, organize tools and materials, and assist with project documentation as needed.
Qualifications
- Basic mechanical knowledge or experience working with hand tools and power tools is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction sites or previous construction experience is a plus.
- Strong interest in plumbing, HVAC systems, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements and material quantities.
- Willingness to learn welding techniques, assembly processes, and maintenance procedures.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential for success in this role.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or coursework related to plumbing or construction is advantageous.
