The Opportunity:
The Senior Manager, COR.TRANSFORM leads the team responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting Symcor’s Document Management platforms, ensuring solutions meet business, operational, and client requirements. The role oversees client implementations, drives platform improvements and new features, and recommends products, solutions, and processes that advance Symcor’s application development capabilities and infrastructure. This role also partners with Product, Sales, and Operations teams to support sales strategy, continuous improvement, and process automation.
This is a hybrid role with flexible onsite expectations, typically 2 days per week. New employees are expected to be onsite 2 to 3 times a week during their first three months to support onboarding and collaboration. #LI-Hybrid
About The Role:
- Monitor, coach, develop and evaluate employees, contractors and vendors to provide the optimal resources required to attain the team’s objectives and deliver on its mandate.
- Oversee the development and implementation of the platforms and technologies related to Document Management to ensure solutions are available, robust and resilient and in accordance with design, business and customer requirements.
- Work with Project Managers and Agile delivery teams to plan, schedule and oversee execution and delivery of maintenance activities and change requests within established timeframes to ensure platform stability and currency and satisfy client and business needs.
- Plan, oversee and manage the team in their capacity as Tier 3 support to address unresolved technical support issues, minimize disruption to work, deal with production issues, and ensure availability of platform services to meet established service levels. Address escalated issues.
- Assist management in the preparation of the five-year technology strategy and plan. Prepare and manage plan and budget for assigned area, adjusting as required to ensure targets are met. Complete resource planning to provide the appropriate support, project delivery and infrastructure maintenance required to meet business needs and requirements.
- Lead and contribute to pre-sales activities, internal changes and new client on-boarding to ensure platforms and services can meet the required business needs and client demands, including participating in the solution and joint requirements sessions with clients to ensure efficient and fast on-boarding
What You Need to Succeed:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent
Experience:
- 10+ years - leading teams through design, build and deployment of platforms, client onboarding, collaborating with vendors, supporting operational efficiency initiatives, people management and leadership
Skill requirements
- Proven experience in managing development teams who work heavily with vendor platforms (Document Management platforms ideally, but not required)
- Ability to build an effective growth-driven team
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience evaluating, deploying and integrating vendor products within an Enterprise ecosystem
- Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies and containerized deployments
- Familiarity with cloud providers’ AI and ML based data extraction technologies (eg. Azure’s Document Intelligence Studio)
- Strategic thinking and planning skills, to align the team’s goals with the organization’s priorities.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate and interpret data, information and findings to make recommendations
- Innovation and creativity skills, to generate and implement new ideas, solutions, and processes that add value to the team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey information, feedback and expectations to various stakeholders such as clients, direct reports, peers and senior management.
- Competent people leadership skills including coaching and mentoring direct reports with the ability to motivate and empower team members and to foster a culture of collaboration, learning and innovation
- Ability to oversee multiple projects and tasks concurrently and skills to manage uncertainty, ambiguity and complex problems
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Knowledge of the latest trends and innovations in the Document Management industry
