Overview
We are seeking a motivated Flatbed Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting a variety of building materials using flatbed trucks across designated routes. Your expertise in truck driving, load securement, and route management will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate flatbed trucks with manual transmission to transport freight efficiently and safely across various routes
- Load and unload building materials such as roofing supplies, textured panels, and natural finishes using appropriate equipment like forklifts or roll-off trucks
- Secure cargo properly on flatbeds to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Navigate route driving plans effectively, adhering to schedules and traffic laws
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery status, delays, or route adjustments
- Maintain accurate logs of mileage, cargo details, and delivery documentation
Skills
- Valid AZ driver's license, at least 2 years of verifiable experience operating a tractor, flatbed or step deck trailer.
- Clean driving record and CVOR.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to adapt flexibly to different working hours
- Proficient in operating manual and automatic vehicles.
- Candidates with forklift operation experience are preferred.
