Preschool Teacher
Polka Dot Preschool is seeking a dynamic and experienced Preschool Teacher for our Toddler/Preschool room. The ideal candidate must have a passion for early childhood education, must enjoy having fun with the children, enjoy the outdoors, enjoy working in a team environment and interacting with the families.
We are a private Preschool located in Thornhill, Ontario. At Polka Dot Preschool, we value the relationships we have built with the parents and the community. We pride ourselves in the quality of care and education we provide to the children. We love creating fun, engaging and hands on programs for the children while enjoying the nature around us!
The candidate must be comfortable working various shifts and have a minimum of 1 year teaching experience. New graduates are welcome to apply.
Staff will be required to prepare weekly program plans, responsible for the safety and well being of the children, diapering and toileting routines and communicating with parents on a daily basis. Staff must have an understanding of child development and excellent program solving skills. Staff must have a good ability of time management skills and the ability to work independently at times. Team work stills are also an asset due to the type of work environment we have at Polka Dot Preschool.
Staff must have an up to date Vulnerable Sector Check, Updated First Aid/Level C Certificate and Updated Health Check.
Health and Dental Benefits offered after 3 months probation. Paid fully by the employer.
Qualifications:
- Early Childhood Education Certificate
- Minimum 6 months experience. New graduates are welcome to apply

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
